I created an elephant sculpture using recycled paper cups, choosing this material for its perfect balance of flexibility and rigidity. I started by cutting and shaping the most iconic part—the elephant's trunk—giving it a lifted, dynamic look. Next, I crafted two pointy tusks on either side, adding character and realism. For the ears, I cut slots into the cup and used the covers to shape them, attaching an additional layer to give the inner ear more depth. Finally, I used the cup bottoms to form the eyes, making them pop with their distinct shape and contrast in color. The result is a thoughtful blend of structure and creativity, bringing the endangered elephant to life using simple, sustainable materials.
